Editorial policy
Attribution, dates, tools and use of the work.
Authorship and attribution
OPEN VARIABLE analysis is distinct from third-party source material. External works retain their own authors, publishers and dates. Inclusion in the Knowledge library does not imply endorsement or a partnership.
Dates and versions
Published identifies the original OPEN VARIABLE publication date. Updated identifies a material change to that publication. Source dates and data cutoffs identify when the underlying evidence was released and the period it describes.
Tools and responsibility
OPEN VARIABLE uses AI tools to assist research and editorial production. Factual claims should be read with their cited sources, and analysis with its stated scope and uncertainty. Readers can report an error through the correction link attached to each publication.
Corrections and reuse
Report a specific issue using the correction link on the publication. Link to the relevant work when citing it. Contact Institutional access for proposed republication, translation or other licensed use.
Photography, illustration and video
Photographs carry their source and rights information where they appear. Illustrations, explanatory diagrams and data animations are distinguished from documentary images. Charts identify the underlying source, units and observation period.
