OPEN VARIABLE Publishing is the publishing division of OPEN VARIABLE, an independent research institution.

We publish books and work with authors, agents and rights holders on new projects and publishing opportunities. A book begins with a distinctive contribution and a clear sense of the readers it will serve.

Editorial development and book production

Our publishing work brings together manuscript development, editorial preparation, book design, production and edition planning. The approach is shaped around the work, its readers and the formats in which it will be published.

Rights acquisition and publishing partnerships

We consider the acquisition or licensing of publishing rights in new and existing works. Authors, agents and publishers can approach us about individual books, territorial or language rights, new editions and co-publication.

From a proposal to a publication

Start with a concise account of the book or rights opportunity. Further material and project terms are discussed with the author or authorized representative. Editorial scope, rights, formats and commercial arrangements are set out in the publication agreement.
