The research release

Berkeley Lab’s June announcement describes more than 40 potential solutions across five functional areas for accelerating large-load connections. The work concerns data centres and other large electricity users. Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory ↗

Why the distinction matters

A solution catalogue does not establish which intervention will work at an individual site. The useful question is whether the obstacle is a study process, equipment, operating flexibility, procurement or responsibility for costs. A proposed remedy should identify that obstacle and the evidence needed to show it has moved.
